The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 17 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will tell Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) he’s pulling the plug on a new design division.
Also coming up, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will make a confession to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will complain about his brother to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). And Sally will encourage Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to adopt a new attitude.
Y&R spoilers tease Nate, will meet with Victor at the ranch. He’ll say he wanted to clear up any suspicions he has about his involvement in helping Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Nate will tell him all he could think about was making sure the McCall scandal didn’t go public and damage Newman Enterprises. Victor will accept his explanation and hand him a binder. Then he’ll ask him to look at the financials for Audustus.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victoria Shocked By Nate’s Declaration
At the GCAC, Victoria will ask Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) why he’s hesitating about shipping the kids off to boarding school. He’ll accuse her of sending them away so she can focus on her work and on Nate. But he’ll also suspect something’s wrong. So, Victoria will open up and tell Billy that Nate kept a secret, claiming he was protecting the company. “The thing is, he kept it from me as well,” she’ll continue. “Obviously, I have to wonder, can I really trust him?”
When she returns to the office, Nate will show up. He’ll say he just met with Victor to explain why he handled the Audra situation the way he did. But Victoria will act standoffish and cold and Nate will tell her he wants to smooth things over between them. “I can’t help but feel something’s shifted between us.” And Victoria won’t deny it. He’ll say he regrets it and it’ll never happen again. She’ll say she knows the COO position is important to him.
“I’m talking about losing you,” he’ll reply. He’ll say their attraction is becoming more important to him every day. But Victoria will ask if she hadn’t forced him to come clean would he have told her. “Honestly, probably not,” he’ll reply. “I want to be worthy of you because I’m falling in love with you.”
At Society, Sally will run into Adam. “You said there was something you wanted to talk to me about and I’m curious, what was it?” she’ll ask. He’ll say he was going to try to convince her to work for Newman Media when his company merged with Audustus. But he now suspects his days there are numbered. “Since trying to fight your way to the top isn’t working, maybe try cooperating?” she’ll suggest.

Meanwhile, Nick will tell Sharon Adam is now resorting to blackmail to make sure Newman Media merges with their new company. He’ll say Victor refuses to fire him because he doesn’t want to risk losing the financing they just secured. “My whole future now depends on my a-hole brother not screwing up.” However, Sharon will say they need to look at their ultimate goal and will point out Adam wants what they want.
“He’s focused on one thing only,” Nick will reply.” Getting back what he thinks was stolen from him.” But Sharon will say Nick’s making it as personal as Adam is. “He just can’t be trusted,” he’ll reply. “Not in business, not with Sally.” Sharon will suggest he focus on things he can control, like himself. So, he’ll suggest a new name for the company, SNA Media. “I love it,” Sharon will say. And surprisingly, so will Adam when he meets up with them later.
Finally, Sally will arrive at the ranch and tell Victor she’s accepting his offer to head up the new design division. “I’m sorry to hear that,” Victor will reply to a confused Sally. He’ll tell her he’s going to be spending all his time focusing on the new company and on the working relationship between his two sons.
“There will be no design division at Newman Enterprises. Not now, not ever.” Sally will say it’s unfortunate, because she’s already set aside her Chancellor Winters account to accept the offer. “Did you dangle this in front of me, just to yank it away to punish me for getting involved with both of your sons?” she’ll ask. Victor will deny it, but he’ll smile as Sally leaves.
